Software Developer

The world leading free and open certificate authority CAcert's Software Development team is seeking a Software Developers proficient in web technologies. You will be involved in engineering CAcert's core applications used by hundred-thousands of members.

You will

  • prepare and provide patches based on open issues,
  • maintain assigned issues in the bug tracking system,
  • participate in team telephone conferences (optional),
  • and support the software team with your input.

Key qualifications we require are

  • Proficient knowledge in web development technologies, including HTML 5 and PHP, desirable JavaScript, and CSS 2.1+ or
  • Proficient knowledge in Java and C++
  • Familiarity with the use of Git
  • Ability to learn new technologies and systems
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • High energy and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to make the world a bit better

Software Assessor

The world leading free and open certificate authority CAcert's Software Development team is seeking a Software Assessors proficient in web technologies. You will be involved in engineering CAcert's core applications used by hundred-thousands of members.

Software assessors ensure that only tested and stable software and patches will be deployed on the live system.

You will

  • prepare and provide patches based on open issues,
  • maintain assigned issues in the bug tracking system,
  • review and test patches for deployment,
  • participate in team telephone conferences (recommended),
  • and support the software team with your input.

Key qualifications we require are

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in cryptography software development
  • Highly proficient knowledge in web development technologies, including
  • HTML 5, PHP 5.4, JavaScript 1.6 + and CSS 2.1+
  • Java 7+, C++ 11, Multi-Tier Applications
  • Excellent knowledge in Git
  • Knowledge in cryptographic protocols
  • Proficiency in software review
  • Experience in development of critical systems,
  • Ability to learn new technologies and systems quickly
  • Ability to independently design and implement issue solving patches
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Ability to organize the workload
  • High energy and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to make the world much better

Additional a proven track record as CAcert Software Developer, the Nomination by two Software team members and a successfully passed Arbitrated Background Check (ABC) are necessary to become Software Assessor.

Internal Auditor

The world leading free and open certificate authority CAcert's internal Audit team is seeking an Internal Auditor. You will be involved in auditing CAcert's compliance to internal and external regulations, efficient law and information security.

Internal Auditors ensure CAcert's compliance in all areas. An auditor is responsible for dedicated sessions during an audit. She/He conducts interviews, does inspections, and observations to propose non-conformities or potential improvements to the organisation.

You will

  • prepare and conduct audit sessions,
  • review policies and documentations,
  • review and advise on processes,
  • security check concepts and code,
  • document findings and formulate non-conformities and recommendations, and
  • reconcile findings with the lead auditor.

Key qualifications we require are

  • process driven thinking
  • keen perception
  • ability to balance between policy, regulatory and security requirements
  • willingness to extended documentation
  • willingness to work in a team
  • relevant experience audit experience eligible
  • knowledge in ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 19011 eligible
  • knowledge in cryptographic protocols is a benefit
  • CISA, CISM, CISSP, ISO 27001 auditor or ISO 22301 auditor certificate would be a benefit
  • working proficiency as an auditor is recommended
